Senior feeds
Age has its Benefits
Re-defining older horse nutrition
Just like the human population, horses and ponies now live longer. And, just like people, they can show signs of aging at different times. It used to be the case that a horse was considered ‘aged’ at 15 years. However, increasing knowledge of the management and nutritional requirements of horses and ponies means that many can remain active for longer.
SPILLERS® have worked closely with Redwings Horse Sanctuary, the UK’s leading home of rest for retired horses, to redefine feeding for the older horse and develop feeds to specifically meet the needs of older horses and ponies.
As we appreciate that just one product is not appropriate for the differing needs of all older horses and ponies, we have developed two feeds, both with a unique core formula of joint, digestive and micronutrient support.
