With the recent launch of our brand new SPEEDY-MASH Fibre which soaks in 60 seconds (that’s right, only 60 seconds!), we’ve been having a long hard think about which super speedy yard jobs could be completed whilst your mash is having a quick soaking…Ready? On your marks, get set, GO!
1 – Why not spend your 60 seconds stretching out your horse or pony with the traditional SPILLERS Treats stretches! Not only are you bonding with your lovelies using a healthy treat, you’re also stretching out their muscles! The perfect exercise to complete whilst waiting for your SPEEDY-MASH Fibre.
2 – See how quickly you can fill up your water buckets! With only 60 seconds, it’s a race against time to move your bucket to the hose pipe and back again! But watch your step, try not to spill any water (and don’t hurt yourself!).
3 – You’ve just finished riding, put your pony to bed and are preparing their tasty dinner. Your next 60 second trial…can you clean your tack in 60 seconds? Have a go at scrubbing your bridle until it gleams before your time is up! And if you’re that swift, why not give you saddle a quick clean!
4 – How about using this time to complete your horse’s weekly Body Condition Score to check up on their condition! If you’re not familiar with how to Body Condition Score your horse, you could use the 60 seconds to find out how to do it using our Body Condition Score tool.
5 – Fancy a challenge? Why not see how quickly you can do your mucking out, although we’d be very impressed if you could muck out a whole stable in just 60 seconds! We’re exhausted by the thought! See how quickly you can create the perfect bed for your horse!
6 – If mucking out seems a bit of a stretch to complete whilst you’re waiting for your SPEEDY-MASH Fibre, take this time to go and fill up your hay nets ready for your horse to munch on overnight after their delicious dinner.
7 – Finally 60 seconds is just enough time to give your horse or pony a little bit of extra love & attention (although we definitely do this all day). So whilst your SPEEDY-MASH Fibre is soaking, give your horse or pony an extra pat, hug or good ol’ brush to remind them just how much you love them!
Phew that was tough and we pretty much failed to complete them all in 60 seconds – the problem is that SPEEDY-MASH Fibre just soaks too quickly! From now on, we’ve decided that we are just going to use that 60 seconds to make a cup of tea instead, but if you’ve got any other ideas about what yard jobs could be done in sixty seconds drop us a comment and let us know!
