In our blog ‘Can you recognise an overweight horse’, we discussed the findings from a study carried out in collaboration with SPILLERS which found that both amateur and professional ‘horse managers’ vary in their ability to visually identify overweight horses and ponies. Therefore, rather than assessing a horse’s condition by eye alone, we recommend that horse owners body condition score (BCS) regularly.
