At SPILLERS we strive to do our best in everything we do and follow five key principals, Quality, Mutuality, Responsibility, Efficiency, and Freedom. We hold daily quality meetings in our in-house laboratory so that we can make sure the feed we produce for your horses lives up to the claims we make about them, and meets our own internal standards as well as those of our third party regulators.
Standards are continually changing so it’s important that we make sure we keep up to date. Organisations such as the BSI help us to make sure we are working to produce feed of the highest quality to make sure your horse or pony’s feed is safe, does what you require or need and meets the very best standards set by the organisational bodies we work with.

Naturally Occurring Prohibited Substances
SPILLERS strongly believe that a positive post race or competition dope test is a disaster, not only for the trainer or rider concerned, but also for the sport, and for any company whose products might be found to contain a prohibited substance.
We operate to high internal and external quality standards in the design and manufacture of all our products. Manufacturing takes place in our own licensed premises, using quality assured ingredients under strictly controlled production conditions, and we conform to the requirements of EU and UK legislation governing the manufacture of animal feeding stuffs. In addition, our products do not contain any form of medication.
SPILLERS is accredited to the British Equestrian Trade Association (BETA) Naturally Occurring Prohibited Substances (NOPS) Code. The BETA NOPS Code requires us to
The Code has been endorsed by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA) and the National Trainers Federation (NTF) with further endorsement from the British Equestrian Federation (BEF) currently being soughtevaluate the risk of a NOPS contamination during every step of the sourcing, storage, transport and manufacturing processes of our products, and they ensure that our quality management systems are in line with the risks identified. Conforming to the new Code allows us to use the BETA NOPS logo on our products and literature to provide reassurance to owners and trainers of the stringent quality management procedures that we undertake during every step of the manufacturing process for each product.
Finally we continue to work via BETA with sporting and government regulatory bodies to ensure that appropriate, workable measures are in place to reduce the risk of prohibited substances being present in equine feeding stuffs.
